WINE
Wine!
More exciting than sex!
More irresistible than men!
More powerful than money!

Wines never lie.

Forget style, style is when you wear a paper bag for a hat & you look great & everyone else copies you & looks awful. Attitude, on the other hand, is when you are beyond paper bags. Attitude does not mean looking like you know all the answers. Attitude means you were throwing spitballs while the questions were being asked. Without an attitude, your like a car without tires. You might look great, but your not going anywhere. Wines are, without a doubt the best vehicle for your attitude. With the right wine you are cruising. Wine is the totem for disembodied lust. It’s Candy for the Eyes, Poetry for the Palate, Icing on the Soul! It stands for everything you’ve ever wanted: glamour, success, a razor sharp wit, a date with the sex god of your choice, Barbie’s wedding dress.

The right wine hints that attaining these things is just as easy as pouring it into your glass. It seems to have the magic power to make you into some one else, some one without skin problems, someone without thin hair, someone without a horsy laugh. And it does.

Women who love wine know that life without the right wine is a dull, shoddy expanse of gray days without end, and fitful, sleepless nights. They know that the right wine will give them the power to go out and do what needs to be done, whether it’s a corporate takeover, conquering a lover, or merely taking out the trash. They know that wine, not men, is God’s gift to women!

Sean & Kate’s Wine picks

Nicolas Feuillatte Palmes D’Or 1996 Champagne
Very silky in texture and firmly structured with berry and smoke flavors persisting. The finish is bold, fruity and long…like a couple of minutes long! 90+ Points from the Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast.

B.R. Cohn Silver Cabernet Sauvignon 1999
This release from B.R. Cohn has an elegance that is ripe and polished, with pretty plum and black cherry notes. The palate friendly tannins turn elegant on the finish. Enjoy with a nice rack of New Zealand lamb with grilled asparagus.

Sineann 2000 Merlot
Ripe and rich, this fruit forward beauty turns luscious and darkly rich in earth and blackberry fruit. It has a terrific lingering finish, and will pair well with most any of your dinner entrees. This wine is so good, I’m sure you’ll be in for more!

Longoria 2000 Mt. Carmel Pinot Noir
Enjoy this extremely smooth, sensuous Pinot Noir with or without your favorite triple cream cheese, crusty bread, with your feet up, in your favorite chair, watching your favorite reality T.V. show. Yes, it’s that good.

Pasqua Pinot Grigio 2001
Take a trip to Italy without ever leaving the comfort of your own back yard! This wine makes you feel as if you were on the balcony of a rustic, Mediterranean Villa, overlooking miles of Cyprus and olive tree studded hills. It’s crisp, refreshing, with granny smith apple and a hint of lemon zest. It is very food friendly, and it’s a great value!

Qupe 2001 Viognier
This is a cleaner, more floral and spicy version of Viognier, with a forward, fresh fruit taste of white peaches. The fruit was grown in a cooler hillside location in Santa Maria where you get really great wines with a balanced, food friendly acidity level. Bob Lindquist, the winemaker, is known for his white Rhone wines that are top notch, and true to their varietal character.

Bridlewood 2000 Syrah
Aromas of sweet green tea set the stage for a trip to your favorite Chinese food restaurant. You have your Chinese tea, smoky vanilla incense, all in a paper house surrounded by cedar boxes with bonsai trees. Just kidding about the house, but the imagery is effective, isn’t it? Basically, the main body of this wine has sweet smokiness and cedar qualities, dark berry fruit, and firm tannins. This wine is best served now, or within a few years from now with your favorite barbeque meats.

Siduri 2001 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

Known to produce softer, more generous wines, this example of Willamette Valley Pinot is classic in its structure. Rich, with focused flavors of black cherry, wild berries, and smoke. Nicely finished to show its pretty side. With a slow, chewy finish.
